Martin Schirrmacher hat unter Fennec Beta eine selbst compilierte Beta Version des mobilen Firefox Browsers -> Fennec veröffentlicht.

Laut seinen Angaben läuft die Version auf seinem Motorola Milestone mit Original Firmware.

Der Download ist mit 11mb noch übersichtlich, aber installiert nimmt die App ca. 41mb Speicher ein.
Durch Apps2SD kann man noch ca. 10 mb internen Speicher sparen, aber auch so  bleibt die App mit 31mb internen Speicherverbauch ein “Brocken”.

Auf meinem G1 wollte das Ganze leider nicht laufen, aber dafür ist es wohl auch “noch” nicht ausgelegt.

Im nachfolgenden Video seht Ihr einen Test der Multitouchfunktion auf dem Motorola Droid (Milestone) und dem Nexus One.
Wie es aussieht vertauscht das Nexus One ab einer bestimmten Stelle die Axen und Positionen der Touch-Punkte.

Ob es sich dabei um einen Fehler innerhalb von Android 2.1 oder um ein Hardwareproblem handelt konnte bisher noch nicht genau bestimmt werden.

Google hat Gestern/Heute eine Mail an Entwickler von Android Apps, mit mindestens 3,5 Sternen und über 5000 Downloads im Android Market, verschickt.

In der Mail wird diesen Entwicklern ein gratis Nexus One oder Motorola Droid zugesagt.
Amerikanische Entwickler erthalten per Zufall entweder ein Nexus One oder ein Motorola Droid.
Entwickler aus Kanada, der EU, Schweiz, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapur, Norwegen und Lichtenstein erhalten ein Nexus One.

Google bedankt sich dabei für den Beitrag der Entwickler.

Meiner Meinung nach ist das Ganze ein gelungener Schachzug von Google, der einmal wieder zeigt das Google die Community und in diesem Fall speziell die Entwickler nicht im Regen stehen lässt.
